Whitecaps FC Vernon Academy
INDOOR ACADEMY PROGRAMS
SPACE IS LIMITED *REGISTRATION OPEN TO EVERYONE and players must be accepted upon registration. *Motivated players at the WFC VERNON Prospects select camp in late August (see above summer camp info) will be given FIRST consideration. The Whitecaps FC Vernon Academy Programs are offered at the VantageOne Indoor Soccer Centre in Vernon
from mid-October to mid-March.
The Whitecaps FC Vernon Academy program provides motivated boys and girls with a specialized development training program in a professional environment. Sessions consist of Whitecaps curriculum delivered by certified coaching staff.

YOUTH INDOOR SOCCERPATCH & LEAGUE
YOUTH Indoor season runs from mid October to mid March.
All INDOOR LEAGUE sessions will begin with up to a ½ hour of training provided by CERTIFIED COACHING STAFF and followed by a game.
The SOCCERPATCH Program (ages 2003, 2004 & 2005) is designed to each very young players the cooperation needed to be a team player, basic soccer skill and game objectives, agility and balance training and a foundation to build a lifelong love for sport. All sessions will conclude with a mini small-sided game.

OKANAGAN WFC SUPER Y LEAGUE 2009
A new advisory committee will be established in early October between SOYSA, COYSA, NOYSA and SYSA that will help guide the implementation of the SYL from 2009 onwards. The goal of this new approach is to make the league much more regional and practices and games will rotate around the youth districts to expose as many players and parents as possible to the league.
Parents/players wishing to register for the October 25th, Beasley Park (Lake Country) and October 26th Kings Park (Penticton) try-outs are asked to complete the

U11 GIRLS BORN IN 1998 11 AM – 12 PM
NOYSA recognizes that players of this age will develop at different times so this program strives to include all the players that show an interest to learn the game at a higher level.
As well the U11 program is designed to educate coaches, players and parents on the time and financial commitment required to play at the rep level.
U13 Boys (players born in 1996) tryouts will be held on September 28, 2008 with additional tryout information for the U13 to be announced at that time.

NOYSA tryouts for U12 (born in 1997), U14 (1995), U15 (1994), U16 (1993), U17 (1992), U18 (1991) are being changed to mid-March 2009. IMPORTANT: There will still be a Fall Tryout registration and parent informational meeting held in September or October 2008 for those players wanting to tryout. NOYSA must declare teams to the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League by January so NOYSA must know what teams it has in what age/gender divisions. If it looks like two age groups will be joined to make one team it may be necessary to conduct a tryout in early to mid-October.
